TEAM INFORMATION
Season Schedule
Off season, captain's practice takes place in the Fall. On Snow ski practices are held daily from 3 pm to 5 pm at Buck Hill. There are three kinds of races in the season: JV, Varsity and Invitationals. JV and Varsity races take place at Buck Hill with race time at 4 pm, course inspection at 3:30 pm. Racers are expected to be ready no later than 3:15 pm on race days. There are two invitationals our team will participate in. Both of these invites are all day races. Please go to our SEASON CALENDAR for full schedule details. Transportation to and from Buck Hill are to be provided by each skier's family.
Team Expectations
Although no ski racing experience is required, basic skill requirement must be met to join. These skills include abilities to ski, control speed, make turns and stop on intermediate terrains. Racers are expected to come ready to practice physically and mentally daily. Basic gear requirement as a skier/racer for our team includes proper race skis, alpine ski poles, pole guards, ski boots, race helmet, goggles, Buck Hill season pass and winter outerwear (such as gloves, snow pants and winter jacket). Optional equipment for new racers are boot bags, ski bags, chin guard and shin guards. Questions on gear? Contact us and we will connect you with our coaches. Volunteering is part of the requirement for earning a Varsity Letter. Our team will not succeed without all skiers' and their families' help at all the races and events.
Team Communication
Our team communicates through Team Snap. We will be in contact with you to get the skier profile set up once the skier is committed for the season.
