ABOUT BLAZE ALPINE
Mission Statement
The Burnsville Alpine Ski Team Booster club was formed to support and promote the Burnsville High School (BHS) Alpine Ski Team. We lend moral support to all phases of the school district Alpine Ski program. We cooperate and work with the ski team coaches and staff. We promote excellence in scholastic and athletic endeavors at Burnsville High School.
WE BELIEVE
Athletics teaches many valuable lifelong skills such as: teamwork, helping others, accepting help, winning
with class, losing with pride, dealing with disappointment, celebrating success, overcoming obstacles, being
responsible for one’s behavior, and developing leadership.
Being part of a team gives young people a place to belong.
Athletics is a place to stay physically active and to enjoy being fit.
Athletics builds confidence and self-esteem.
Athletics and being part of a team create positive citizens in the community.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Burnsville Alpine Ski Team strives to teach its members the importance of education, dedication, hard work, and teamwork while building a lifelong passion for the sport of ski racing. We are committed to the success of the team and the individual. We will show pride and respect for our team, our community, and ourselves by committing to the team wholeheartedly, performing our very best at practices and at races. We will demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship by being humble in our victories and gracious in defeat. Above all else, we are committed to building a tradition of excellence.
